Had a birthday reward for a free original at Jimmy John’s, I don’t really go there but figured why not, don’t wanna waste it. This is insane lol cannot understand anyone that goes to this place and pays for anything there.
For context the order was a Vito with easy lettuce and added the hot peppers.

That’s particularly bad, but yeah, they’ve been getting worse for a while. I’m still annoyed they stopped having whole grain subs (I know they have whole grain bread, but I’m there because want a sub, not a regular sandwich).

I always like the other related but not really affiliated shops – Big Mike’s/Milios and Erbert’s & Gerbert’s. Jimmy John’s was always the weakest of the three.
That meat to bread ratio is really something.
Someone worked at Jimmy John’s when I was in high school/college and at a small college apartment party, and brought home some sandwiches all cut into squares and parceled up given to them for some reason, obviously I was super excited because I didn’t have money for fast food sandwiches on me. They were so well made, I had never heard of them and became a huge fan from that one sandwich I didn’t even get to pick the flavor of. It’s really sad to see this quality drop, not just here but in a lot of foods and restaurants I loved. Taco Bell is another big one I never really visit anymore either.

I eat JJ somewhat regularly (they deliver one sandwich for not a lot which I need when I can’t leave work for lunch) and none of my sandwiches have ever looked like that.

My work paid for JJ’s on a day when we couldn’t leave. They asked what I wanted and I said: roast beef. Literally one slice of roast beef on bread.
I usually do the scoop out the bread option
Thankfully the one I have nearby doesn’t skimp on the ingredients and I always do the take the bread out option.
